As one would expect from a practice with expertise in Debt Recovery, whether it be Consumer or Commercial, GPB has considerable expertise in using Insolvency practice and procedure to recover monies due to its clients. Often it is the case that the initial process of a statutory demand is coupled with attempts to negotiate a settlement thus avoiding the considerable costs of instituting action by way of either Bankruptcy Petition or Winding up Petition.
However, the expertise available at GPB goes beyond the above parameters. We have a number of specialists at various levels who advise Insolvency Practitioners on the realisation of assets due from either a bankrupt individual or a corporate entity which has been the subject of an insolvency process. It is often the case that GPB continues to indirectly act for clients in these circumstances following appointment by the appropriate Insolvency Practitioner.
Expertise in relation to realisation of bankrupts’ assets is available and this includes the ability to realise assets and indeed trace those assets where those individuals have been less than frank with Insolvency Practitioners.
In the case of corporate entities, advice is often given to Insolvency Practitioners concerning administration, liquidation and subsequent disposal of assets.
